Racha has fewer accommodation options than any other region covered on this site, and that is not likely to change soon — visitor numbers are too low to support much investment. What exists is a mix of small properties in the valley towns, a few winery stays near Ambrolauri where rooms come with access to wine production and local food, and very little beyond that. The character of a stay here is quiet and unhurried, which is either a feature or a problem depending on what you are looking for.
The town of Ambrolauri is the practical centre of the region and the easiest base. It has the most consistent accommodation, the only ATM in the area, and reasonable transport links onward. For walkers heading toward the higher trails, smaller villages closer to the trailheads have a room or two to offer, but these are worth confirming in advance. The guide below covers what is available and where to find it.
